Many not-for-profit groups evolve from being a "voluntary run only" organisation to one where they can begin to employ staff. For many of the Committee Members/ Trustees, this may be their first experience of being an "employer" and managing staff.

It is an unfortunate fact of life that from an employment point of view, size does not matter. If you are an employer of only one person you have to know as much as if you employ a thousand.

CA Plus can assist you through this process and provide a range of free-of-charge employment law and HR advice and support to any not-for-profit group based within the City of Nottingham or County of Nottinghamshire.

Please note, as we are funded to provide support to "employers" we are not able to give specific personal advice to "employees".
